Otsego Lake

View of Otsego Lake from the Bayside Inn

We work hard to make sure that our guests have a wonderful stay with us. So it's gratifying when we read online the unsolicited comments from folks who have taken the time to write a review. Here are just a few that we've found:

Clean Clean Clean
A nice spot. Clean. Great view of lake and mountains. If you want to go to Cooperstown and have more than just a concrete room in a Holiday Inn, this is perfect. Fresh air, green grass. Picnic tables and BBQ pits. Boats and sand beach.

Great Find
The Inn has both cottages and a motel. My stay was in the motel. I arrived in the afternoon and was greeted by a nice person. The property is well kept. I did have lake view. Room was clean. Took a canoe out. Grill was right near room, bring your own supplies. Village is about 10-15 minutes south. Wireless Internet worked well. I would make it a point to stay at this hotel if I went back.

Basic, Very Clean
We (family of 5) stayed one night. It's nothing fancy, but VERY CLEAN, and the front desk staff was very helpful. About 5 min from Cooperstown. The lake is beautiful, but if you are in the motel, it's very hilly with some steps to get there. We enjoyed our stay, and if you are not looking for a fancy resort I recommend it.

Just Like Home
This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. It is north of Cooperstown (6 or 7 miles), in the woods, on a lake. Very beautiful views. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Besides the extreme cleanliness, we liked the "little extra's". This is the off season so the rooms are not used as often but we found our room had been opened up and aired out before our arrival, the bathroom had extra over-the-door hanging space, and a retractable line to dry our swimsuits and towels, just to name a few extras. There are full menus in the lobby for local restaurants and the staff offered extra info on each restaurant along with unadvertised coupons for a free glass of wine with our meal. We were staying in a time share in the Pocono Mountains for the week and only came up for the night. We will definitely be back again and spend the week next time.

Clean Cabins, Recently Renovated
We were there during a hot and humid weekend. Air conditioning in cottage worked well and there seemed to be many recent upgrades including appliances, bathroom, tile floors, porch, and a new grill outside. A nice setting for our family. Beach was nice, including two gazebos. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Family Loved It
A great place to stay. Our group of 10 (3 families with kids between 4 and 11) stayed in the motel rooms 1, 2 and 3 and were very pleased with the accommodations. Clean, spacious, and a wonderful view from the private balconies. The private beach was a big hit with the kids, as was the game/pool room. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing
The Bayside Inn & Marina was recommended by Chamber of Commerce in Cooperstown and boy were they right. A++++ on everything. Can't wait to go back!!!

All the Comforts of Home
The staff made us feel at home from check-in to check-out. Our room had been aired out for our arrival (we were traveling in the off season). It was spotlessly clean despite the fact that it is located in the woods on a lake. We had a coffee pot and supplies for morning, extra hanging space in the bathroom, free wireless Internet, and much more. The staff was friendly and always available to answer questions. There are full restaurant menus in the lobby for Cooperstown and surrounding area. Extra restaurant tips and coupons were provided by the staff. Wish we could have stayed longer. The lake and fall tree colors were right outside our window and balcony. The view is beautiful.

Hall of Fame Weekend
Beautiful location - right on the lake and close to Cooperstown. Service was well above par - they had the linens changed quickly and the rooms were spotless. The beds are a bit on the hard side, but in all fairness, the mattress looked brand new. Hall of Fame weekend the rates go up - way up - but so does everyone else's rates, so it's no big deal.
